AILÍSE BEALES

About

ABOUT

Ailíse Beales, a celebrated New Zealand/British actor, is best known for her charming portrayal of 'Belle' in the New Zealand feature film 'Two Idiots and a Tin Whistle'. Her performance garnered critical acclaim, highlighting her exceptional talent as both an actor and a musician.

Ailíse's journey into the arts can be traced back to her father's shared love for film and music. With her family's unwavering support, she earned the prestigious Joan See Memorial Scholarship, enabling her to attend The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. There, she honed her craft under renowned mentors like acting coach Jay Goldenberg, who was recently featured in Vanity Fair.

Her commitment to storytelling and character is evident in her diverse roles, from strong-willed feminist Susan in 'Loose Ends' (Dir. Steve Perlmutter) to earnest romantic Hero in 'Much Ado About Nothing' (Dir. Stella Reid). Ailíse's ability to inhabit complex characters and evoke genuine emotion resonates with audiences long after the curtain falls or the credits roll.

Beyond her acclaimed role in 'Two Idiots and a Tin Whistle', Ailíse has made notable appearances across film, television, and theater. Her recent web series 'Happy Even After', co-created alongside actor Zara DuCrôs,  explores the many stages of grief. Most recently, she starred as the obsessive mean girl Sabrina in the New York stage musical 'From A Dream', and as the angsty teenager Lola in the world premiere of Academy Award nominee José Rivera's 'Lunar'.

Offstage, Ailíse remains committed to charitable causes, particularly advocating for mental health services.

With a bright future ahead, Ailíse Beales continues to shine as a talented actor, captivating audiences with her passion, talent, and unwavering dedication to her craft. She is represented by Jean-Louis Diamonika of Invictus Entertainment.
